July Uprising victims protest in front of Pangu Hospital

The protesters, who began their sit-in around 10:30 PM, have effectively halted traffic on both lanes of the road, disrupting movement from Agargaon to the Shishu Mela Link Road.

The blockade has caused significant traffic congestion in the area, with vehicles unable to pass through the affected route. 

Law enforcement officials, including the officer-in-charge (OC) of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, Abdul Ahad, are currently engaged in efforts to persuade the protesters to return to the hospital. 

"We are trying to convince the injured individuals to go back to the hospital. Their demands have been communicated to the relevant authorities," said OC Ahad.

The protesters, many of whom sustained injuries during recent anti-discrimination movements, are calling for immediate action to address their grievances.

Their demands include access to quality medical care, rehabilitation services, and fair compensation for their injuries. The demonstration highlights ongoing tensions and the unmet needs of those affected by recent social and political unrest in the country. Authorities are working to resolve the situation peacefully while addressing the protesters' concerns.
