Titumir students barricade road with bamboo

Students of Government Titumir College have blocked road in front of their college for the fifth consecutive day.

They have barricaded the Mohakahali-Gulshan road with bamboo since 12noon on Sunday, causing immense sufferings to the commuters. They were found chanting different slogans.

Passengers were found to got down from the respective buses following the protest. They also expressed annoyance for this type of road blockade.

Till 11AM on Sunday, four students were admitted to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital as they are continuing the hunger strike for the fifth day demanding the college be upgraded to a university, along with seven other demands.

Since Thursday (January 30), some students of Titumir College have been on hunger strike in front of the main gate of the campus for the same demands.
