Martyrs didn't sacrifice lives to promote extortion, land grabbing: Jamaat Ameer

He urged those involved in these illegal activities to refrain from betraying the martyrs� sacrifices and to show them due respect.  

Speaking at a gathering of families of martyrs and injured victims of political violence at the Grand Sultan Convention Hall in Feni on Monday at 4:00 PM, he emphasized that the martyrs did not sacrifice their lives for extortion and land occupation but to free the nation from oppression.  

During his speech, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman criticized Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, stating, �Those whom you have executed will smile on the Day of Judgment, while you and your regime will face divine justice. We demand justice for every mass killing and every martyr�s assassination. No matter how influential a perpetrator is, they must be brought to justice under the law and face the ultimate punishment for their crimes.�

 He further asserted that those responsible for what he called �mockery in the name of justice� would eventually face consequences, adding, �The world will witness how they are treated.�  

Earlier in the day, while traveling to inspect the Bollar Mokha embankment in the Parshuram upazila of Feni, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman addressed a roadside gathering in Phulgazi upazila, where he reiterated his stance against corruption and injustice.  

Upon his arrival in Feni in the morning, he first visited the grave of martyr Shraban in Anandapur union in Phulgazi, before presenting a newly constructed house to a Hindu family in Sultanpur. 

Later, at 5:00 PM, he addressed a public gathering at Ataturk School in Daganbhuiyan under the Feni-3 constituency.  

He was accompanied by Jamaat-e-Islami�s Assistant Secretary General ATM Masum, Comilla Metropolitan Ameer Kazi Din Mohammad, Central Majlis-e-Shura member and former district Ameer Professor Liaquat Ali Bhuiyan, District Ameer Mufti Abdul Hannan, Secretary Maulana Abdur Rahim, and Publicity Secretary ANM Abdur Rahim.
