BERC's public hearing on gas price hike

Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) is set to kick-off the public hearing on gas price hike proposal submitted by Petrobangla for gas connection of new industries and captive power from February 26.

BERC urged authorities concern to list their names and organizations with the commission, within

February 20 to take part in the hearing process.

On January 6, Petrobangla submitted a proposal before the energy regulators to increase gas price from TK 30 and TK 31.75 to TK 75.72 per unit, according to the BERC.
