Home Ministry denies allegation of rape on moving bus

The Home Ministry has refuted reports of a rape incident on the moving bus "Unique Road Royals," which was traveling from Dhaka to Rajshahi on the night of February 17.  

In a press release issued by the ministry's Public Relations Department on Tuesday, it was stated that the claim of rape is inaccurate.  

According to the statement, a video clip provided by the Superintendent of Police in Tangail was analyzed. In the footage, a female passenger of the bus can be heard saying that a robbery had occurred on the vehicle, but there was no instance of sexual assault. The woman presented her statement openly in the recording.  

The female passenger was a resident of Helencha village under Mahadevpur Police Station in Naogaon district.
