Police members will be on-duty inside metro train

Now Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) police members will be on-duty to each metro train from Tuesday.
There will be two police members in each of the train and they will patrol inside the coaches.
This measure is effective from today (March 4) to strengthen security, said MRT Police Inspector (Operations) Sujit Kumar Gomasta.
A total of 20 police members will be on-duty in the running 10 trains from morning to night.
The MRT police have been working since November 2023.
