The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Saudi Arabian government has established 15 years as the minimum age for Hajj pilgrims. The Hajj-1 wing of the Ministry of Religious Affairs issued a notification on Wednesday to inform registered pilgrims for this year's pilgrimage.

Addressing pilgrims, Hajj agencies, and concerned banks, the notification stated that the Saudi Ministry's decision aims to ensure the health and safety of children. The minimum age limit for the 2025 (1446 AH) Hajj season will be determined based on the date of birth recorded in the pilgrim's passport.

The notification also mentioned that registered child pilgrims under 15 years, and where applicable, their accompanying guardian pilgrims, may be replaced by pre-registered pilgrims.
