The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that all visitor access to the secretariat will be suspended on Tuesday due to "unavoidable circumstances."

The decision was confirmed via an official circular signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Abdullah Al Zabed.

The notice states: “Due to unavoidable reasons, all forms of visitor access to the Bangladesh Secretariat will remain suspended on Tuesday.”

In a related development, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has banned all forms of public gatherings — including rallies, processions, and demonstrations — in and around the Secretariat and the official residence of the Chief Adviser, Jamuna, citing the need to maintain public order.

DMP also urged the public to adhere strictly to this directive, emphasizing it as a preventive measure to uphold law and order in the capital.
