RAB's main target is to gain public trust: DG 

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Director General AKM Shahidur Rahman said the main target of the force is to achieve the trust of the people through their intense work. 

"RAB will be the real friend of the people and a symbol of trust. Gaining public trust is main task of it," he said on Saturday while exchanging views with journalists at the RAB Media Centre in the capital's Kawran Bazar.

The RAB chief made the remarks while briefing the media on the force's recent successes, including unearthing the mystery behind a brutal wife murder case in Chattogram and arresting suspects in the killing of scrap metal trader Sohag in Dhaka's Mitford area.

He hoped that RAB will perform their duties with utmost sincerity in maintaining the law and order, protect human rights, ensure security of every citizen and identify the criminals and bring them to book.
