Published : Sunday, 20 July, 2025 at 10:29 PM

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has published the detailed schedule and seat plan for written exams of the 46th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS).

According to the official notice, the compulsory written exams will begin on July 24 and continue until August 3, while subject-specific written exams will be held from August 10 to August 21.

The announcement came on Sunday evening through a press release issued by PSC’s Public Relations Officer SM Matiur Rahman around 8:45 PM.

The press release stated that both the exam schedule and seating arrangements for compulsory and post-related subjects are now available on PSC's official website.

Candidates have been requested to check the website for detailed instructions and information.

Earlier, PSC issued four key directives for candidates appearing in the 46th BCS written exams:

1. Carrying books, all types of watches, mobile phones, scientific or programmable calculators, electronic devices, credit/bank card-like gadgets, jewellery, bracelets, or bags into the exam hall is strictly forbidden. No candidate will be allowed to enter with any banned item.

2. Candidates must enter the exam hall through security checks conducted with metal detectors in the presence of Executive Magistrates and police. Entry passes and belongings will be thoroughly inspected for restricted items.

3. All candidates will receive an SMS reminder not to carry banned items on the day of the exam. These instructions must be followed.

4. Candidates must keep their ears uncovered during the examination. If the use of a hearing aid is required, prior approval must be obtained from the Commission with a doctor’s prescription.

The notice further stated that if any prohibited item is found with a candidate in the exam hall, it will be confiscated and the candidate will face disqualification under the Bangladesh Civil Service (Age, Qualification and Direct Recruitment Examination) Rules, 2014.

The candidate may also be barred from participating in any future PSC recruitment exams.

Moreover, any violation of laws under sections 10 to 14 of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission Act, 2023; either directly or by aiding such violations, will result in penalties as described in the relevant legal provisions.
