Chief Adviser (CA) Dr. Muhammad Yunus visited the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute in Dhaka's Shahbagh on Saturday night to check on the condition of the burn victims from the Milestone School and College jet crash in Uttara.

Dr. Yunus arrived at the institute at around 9:45 PM and held a meeting with the doctors and medical staff to discuss the treatment and recovery process of the patients.

Earlier in the day, at a press conference held at the institute at around 2:45 PM, the director of the Burn Institute, Professor Dr. Nasir Uddin, confirmed the deaths of two more individuals—36-year-old Masuma Begum and 13-year-old Zarif Farhan.

Professor Dr. Uddin also mentioned that two students of Milestone School, 12-year-olds Ayan Khan and Rafsi, had been discharged after showing signs of improvement in their health.

As of now, there are 36 patients receiving treatment at the institute, with four in critical condition and under intensive care. Nine others are in the CBR (Critical but Recovering) category, while the remaining patients are receiving treatment in other wards.

Dr. Nasir Uddin informed that at least 10 more patients are expected to be discharged in the coming week as their conditions improve.
