Dhaka University has published the final voter list for Central Students' Union (DUCSU) and hall parliament elections after removing 157 names from the draft roster.

The revised list now contains 39,775 eligible voters, comprising 20,871 male and 18,902 female students.

University administration announced the finalised list Monday night following resolution of objections raised against the draft version.

'Objections to the draft voter list were resolved based on committee recommendations and Vice-Chancellor approval,' stated the official press release.

The substantial voter base reflects strong student participation across the institution's residential halls.

Female voters represent 47.5% of the total electorate, with Rokeya Hall leading at 5,641 voters, followed by Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall with 4,434 and Shamsun Nahar Hall recording 4,084 voters. Bangladesh Kuwait-Maitree Hall and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall contribute 2,103 and 2,640 voters respectively.

Male voter distribution shows Jagannath Hall topping with 2,222 voters, whilst Bijoy Ekattor Hall follows closely with 2,027. Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall contributes 1,998 voters and Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall adds 1,957.

Smaller halls like Solimullah Muslim Hall register 664 voters, representing the diverse residential landscape.

The initial draft published on July 30 contained 39,932 voters, indicating careful scrutiny during the verification process. Each removed name underwent thorough review before finalisation.

Students can access the complete voter list through hall notice boards and official website ducsu.du.ac.bd.

The Election Commission maintains vigilance post-publication, stating that any expelled or legally accused student's name discovered on the final list will be removed immediately upon receiving proper evidence.

This comprehensive voter registration marks a crucial step towards conducting transparent DUCSU elections, with nearly 40,000 students eligible to participate in the democratic process across Dhaka University's academic community.
