The biennial election of the Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA), an apex body of the country's international recruiting agencies, will be held on January 17, 2026.
A three-member Election Board, headed by Firoz Al Mamun, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, announced the election schedule on October 29, 2025.
Under the Trade Organization Regulations 2025, this will be the first time BAIRA members will directly elect office bearers, marking a significant change in the organization's electoral process.
Previously, members used to elect a 27-member executive committee, and the office bearers were chosen by votes from within that executive committee members.
According to the announced schedule, applications for voter registration must be submitted by November 18, 2025, while the final voter list will be published on December 2, 2025.
