Int’l conference on application of AI in dentistry held

International Congress on Innovations and applications of artificial intelligence in modern dentistry held The first-ever International Scientific Congress titled Revolutionizing Dentistry with AI: Innovations and Insights” was held on Sunday (23 November). 

The event took place at the 3D Hall of KIB in Farmgate, Dhaka, organized by Social Healthcare Foundation Bangladesh with the support of Mandy Dental College and Hospital. This marks the first international scientific conference in Bangladesh focusing on specialized dentistry and the role of artificial intelligence.

During the congress, experts from home and abroad presented diverse perspectives and research-based discussions on the innovations and practical applications of artificial intelligence in modern dental care.

Professor Dr. Prof. Dr. Forhad Haleem Donar, Executive Director of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation and Chief Adviser of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), attended the event as the chief guest.

Programme Presided over Prof. Dr. Salauddin Swapon, President, Special Healthcare Foundation.

Among the special guests were: Professor Dr. Harun Al Rashid, Chairman of National Medical Institute and Hospital and President of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh, Dr. Zahirul Islam Shakil, Vice Chairman of Bangladesh Medical Research Council and Secretary General of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh.

The event also welcomed Professor Dr. Abul Kenan, Senior Vice President of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), Director of NITOR, and Senior Vice Chairman of DAB and Prof. Dr. Parimal Chandra Mallick, President, Bangladesh Dental Society as the Guest of Honour.

The congress highlighted how artificial intelligence is gradually transforming the field of dentistry, opening opportunities for enhanced diagnosis, precision treatment, and improved patient care.
