Jamaat asst secretary general’s nomination cancelled

The Election Commission has cancelled the nomination of Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Hamidur Rahman Azad.

Cox’s Bazar-2 Returning Officer Md Abdul Hannan initially decided to suspend the nomination after reviewing relevant documents.

However, later Abdul Hannan decided to cancel Hamidur Rahman Azad’s nomination, said sources at the returning officer’s office.
