Although the intensity of the winter has eased slightly compared to last week, the temperature in Dhaka dropped to 16 degrees celsius on Thursday morning, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).

A mild cold wave is sweeping over parts of the country and it may continue in some places.

The Met office bulletin said that mild cold wave is sweeping over four districts-- Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Kurigram and Chuadanga-- and it may continue and spread.

Panchagarh's Tetulia recorded the country's lowest temperature at 7.5 degrees Celsius on Thursday morning.
