Cold-hit poor people get warm clothes in Gaibandha

 
GAIBANDHA, Jan 17: As many as 400 cold-hit poor and helpless people received the warm clothes from Friends Association here on Friday. 

In this regard, a function was also held on the premises of Islamia High School of the town here on Friday afternoon. 

Abul Hossain Mridha, Director of Gaibandha Chamber of Commerce and Industry, formally distributed the warm clothes to the cold-affected people on behalf of the association that was formed with the students who passed SSC exams in 1994. 

Speaking on the occasion, the members of the association stood beside the cold-stricken poor people of the district town and its surrounding areas to mitigate their sufferings caused by on-going cold wave as part of social corporate responsibility. 

After getting warm clothes, the beneficiary people expressed their happiness and thanked the association for providing them with warm clothes to ease their sorrows and sufferings. 

Bulbul Ahmed, Russel Ahmed, Forhad Hossain, Sahed Miah, Alomgir Hossain, Romen Miah, Sana Miah, Sohel Miah and other members of the association were present on the association.
