SCB distributes winter clothes among the cold-stricken people

At the initiative of the Shippers' Council of Bangladesh (SCB), members of the Board of Directors and officers distributed about 9,000 (nine thousand) winter clothes (blankets) among the cold-stricken people of the remote areas of the country at the beginning of the winter season to protect them from the severe cold, says a press release. 

Notable areas include: - Maddha Badda, Jigatola, Uttarkhan, Baunia, Tongi, Ashulia, Hemayetpur, Jurain Cemetery premises and Madinatul Uloom Orphanage for the Visually Impaired Madrasa-Demra in Dhaka district. Jagatpur Ashram of Raujan, Jhautala Kadam Mubarak Orphanage in Chittagong district.  

Madanpur in Narayanganj district; Bakerganj, Gournadi and Nalchiti in Barisal district; Dumuria and Shiromani in Khulna district; Chapai Nawabganj district, Shibpur and Mahipal in Feni district; Natipota Sat Shaheediya Qawmi Madrasa premises in Chuadanga district; Hatia Upazila in Noakhali district; Karimganj, Katiadi and Pakundia in Kishoreganj district; Muradnagar in Comilla district; Gopinathpur in Gopalganj district etc.
