Titas Gas Consumers to face supply disruptions in most of Dhaka, Mymensingh divs

Consumers under Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company to face huge gas supply disruptions in all Titas-affiliated areas from 12pm on Saturday to 12pm on Sunday in most districts in Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions.

Titas has made this  announced on Friday saying that low gas pressure will prevail in Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions and all Titas-affiliated areas from 12pm on Saturday to 12pm on Sunday.

This disruption is a cause of a temporary drop in LNG supply during terminal maintenance, however, gas supply across all  Titas distribution areas will remain under low pressure for 24 hours, Titas said in a media release.

Petrobangla is buying LNG from two floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs) at Maheshkhali, operated by private players.

The disruption is being caused by a temporary reduction in gas received from LNG sources due to maintenance work at an LNG terminal, the statement said.
