Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has assured that the Election Commission (EC) will ensure foolproof security for the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election, allowing voters to go to polling stations and return home peacefully.

The CEC made the remarks after briefing foreign diplomats based in Bangladesh on the Commission's comprehensive preparations.

The meeting took place at 1215 pm on Sunday at The Westin in Gulshan, Dhaka, with diplomats from embassies and missions across the country in attendance. Speaking to journalists afterward, CEC Nasir Uddin said that while the diplomats did not offer any specific recommendations, they asked questions on topics such as postal ballots and the deployment of law enforcement personnel.
