The Qatar government has decided to extend the validity of all entry visas by one month, according to an official statement issued on Tuesday (March 3).

In a statement, the Ministry of Interior of Qatar announced that the extension will apply to all types of entry visas. The measure took effect from February 28 and may be extended further depending on the evolving situation.

The ministry said the visa extension process will be carried out automatically through the electronic system. No fees will be charged and visa holders will not need to visit any department or submit additional applications to benefit from the extension.

The move is expected to facilitate smoother arrangements for visitors currently in the country.

The Ministry clarified that holders of entry visas who incurred violations prior to February 28 must first pay the applicable settlement amount covering the violation period.
