Executive Director Group Captain SM Ragib Samad told media that a total of 148 flights to Middle Eastern destinations have been cancelled since the afternoon of February 28.

Several countries, including Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and Jordan, temporarily closed their airspace beginning February 28, directly impacting operations at Dhaka's main international gateway.

Despite the disruptions, flight operations have gradually resumed on several routes. However, services to Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and key UAE destinations including Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai remain suspended.
