Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Tuesday heard the grievances of a group of BCS (Health) cadre officials who have long been deprived of promotions during an impromptu meeting at the Secretariat.

The officials went to the Secretariat to seek an appointment with the Prime Minister to present their long deprivation, justified demands and administrative compensations.

However, they unexpectedly got an opportunity to meet the Prime Minister and handed over a written application to him directly. During the brief meeting, the officials highlighted issues of administrative disparity, delays in promotion and the difficulties they have been facing for years.

Without any formalities, the Prime Minister received their application with courtesy. During the unexpected informal meeting, the promotion-deprived BCS (Health) cadre officials shared their grievances with him, highlighting administrative disparities, delays in promotions and the hardships they have been facing. They also drew his attention to the broader human impact of the situation.    "UNB
