A Singapore-flagged vessel carrying 27,300 metric tons of diesel has arrived at Bangladesh's Chattogram port.

The arrival marked the ninth fuel shipment to reach the country since Middle East tensions disrupted global energy supply chains.

The MT Yuan Jing He docked at Dolphin Jetty on Friday afternoon, according to Farzin Hasan Moumita, Assistant Manager of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC).

Port Secretary Syed Refayet Hamim announced that another vessel, SHAN GANG FA ZHAN, is expected to arrive later Friday with 34,000 tons of diesel from Malaysia. This would bring total diesel deliveries to over 61,000 tons within a single day.

Alongside the diesel shipments, two separate large vessels carrying LPG and LNG have also reached the port's outer anchorage and are awaiting clearance to unload.
