The government has appointed former Air Force officer Kaizer Sohel Ahmed as managing director and CEO of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

Syed Moin Uddin Ahmed, also an ex-officer, joins as deputy managing director, while Habib Ullah Monju takes charge as director (finance). All three assumed their top roles via separate government notifications on Tuesday.

The government had previously cancelled the appointment of MD Shafiqur Rahman in February, following his arrest in a child domestic worker abuse case.
