Thirteen nations with embassies and high commissions in Dhaka have issued a collective advisory urging Bangladeshi visa applicants to follow only legitimate channels when applying for travel permits and consular services.

The British High Commission in Dhaka released the joint statement on behalf of participating countries, which include Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Spain, France, and Denmark.

The diplomatic missions explicitly cautioned applicants against submitting falsified documentation or engaging unlicensed intermediaries who claim special connections to visa processing systems.

According to the advisory, applicants must avoid making payments to unauthorized persons, unlicensed agents, or entities falsely representing official missions, as such actions can result in application delays, monetary losses, border entry denials, and potential legal prosecution.

The statement emphasized that no diplomatic mission maintains affiliations with any external agents or intermediaries, countering widespread misconceptions among applicants.

Bangladeshi nationals seeking visas received strong recommendations to disregard third-party operators who advertise privileged access or influence over immigration decisions.

The diplomatic representatives stressed that applicants should exclusively trust verified information obtained through official government channels and legitimate authorities.

The missions described their collective objective as maintaining secure, equitable, and transparent application procedures accessible to all prospective travelers.
