A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death in Dhaka's Hazaribagh early Wednesday, hours after a BNP man was hacked to death in Sabujbagh.
The dead were idetified as Sagar Hossain Bullet, and Palash, 36, who was involved in BNP politics.
Palash was allegedly hacked to death over previous enmity in Sabujbagh around 7:30PM on Tuesday in an alley near Rajarbagh water pump in Sabujbagh.
According to local sources, critically injured Palash was taken to Mugda Medical College Hospital. Later he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) emergency department where on-duty doctors declared him dead around 10PM.
The victim’s sister, Josna Akter said their home is in Sonapur village, Raipur upazila of Lakshmipur district. Palash was involved in BNP politics. He lived in the Madartek intersection of Sabujbagh. He got married six months ago. There was a recent physical altercation with a man named Royel.
Meanwhile, Sagar was attacked in front of a house on Bhagolpur Lane around 2AM.
After receiving a call through the national emergency service 999, police rushed to the scene and found Sagar lying on the road with critical injuries, Hazaribagh Police Station SI ABM Touhid confirmed.
He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead around 5:45AM, the police official added.
Sagar had suffered multiple stab wounds on his head.
