BCCB Women celebrate Pahela Baishakh in Canada’s Scarborough

BCCB Women successfully hosted a lively and colorful Pahela Baishakh celebration on April 12 at Khazana Queen Restaurant in Canada’s Scarborough, fostering a spirit of unity, culture and joy among attendees.

The event featured a range of engaging activities and interactive sessions that kept participants entertained throughout the day. 

Highlights included a heartfelt poem recitation by Asma Shumi, a musical performance by Tajnin Sohana and graceful dance presentations by Shamantha Huq and Rimi Khatun, all of which added to the festive atmosphere.

The celebration reflected BCCB Women’s commitment to fostering meaningful connections through networking opportunities, social engagement and shared cultural experiences. 

Participants had the chance to connect with one another, celebrate their heritage, and strengthen community ties.

The event was thoughtfully planned and managed by Team Leader Taniza Reza, with valuable support from admin Afsana Jerin. 

It also received encouragement and support from co-founders Rimon Mahmud and Shaima Hasan.

Organizers expressed their sincere appreciation to all attendees and contributors for making the event a memorable success and shared their enthusiasm for arranging more such inclusive and engaging programs in the future.
