The curtain is poised to rise on the Independence and National Day Volleyball Competition 2026 powered by Radiant Pharmaceuticals Ltd today (Tuesday) at 3:00 pm at the Paltan Ground in Dhaka.

The five-day tournament is being organised by the Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF). Teams representing various services, organisations, clubs and institutions from across the country are set to compete, promising a vibrant and competitive showcase of the sport.

Lt. Gen. (retd.) Sina Ibne Jamali, Managing Director of Radiant Pharmaceuticals Limited, will be the chief guest.

Volleyball in Bangladesh has been gradually regaining traction, with increased domestic arrangement and a renewed emphasis on structured competitions. Initiative, combined with private sponsorship, has begun to inject fresh momentum into the discipline, particularly at the historic Paltan ground, long regarded as the heart of the country's volleyball activities.

Much like a finely judged set leading to a decisive spike, the tournament is expected to blend skill, coordination and national pride.

As anticipation builds, the competition stands not merely as a commemorative event, but as a significant stride in Bangladesh's ongoing journey to elevate volleyball on the national stage.
