A total of 24 police officers, including an additional inspector general (Additional IGP) of the Bangladesh Police, have been reshuffled.
Of these, seven are DIGs, two are additional DIGs and 14 are Superintendent of Police (SP) rank officers.
The home ministry issued the reshuffle order in three separate notifications on Wednesday.
According to the notification, DIG (Supernumerary Additional IGP) of Police Telecom Md Rezaul Karim has been posted as Additional IGP of Naval Police.
DIG of Police Directorate Khondaker Nazmul Hasan has been posted as Commandant (DIG) of Tangail PTC, Commandant (DIG) of Tangail PTC Mohammad Ashfaqul Alam has been posted as DIG of Police Directorate, Commissioner of Rangpur Metropolitan Police Md Majid Ali has been transferred as DIG of CID, DIG of Highway Police Mohammad Abdul Mabud has been transferred as Commissioner of Rangpur Metropolitan Police, DIG of Police Directorate Mohammad Abdullahil Baki has been transferred as DIG of Highway Police, DIG of Police Directorate Kazi Zia Uddin has been transferred as DIG of Police Staff College and DIG Abu Raihan Muhammad Saleh, who was ordered to be transferred to Police Academy Sardah, has been transferred as DIG of Police Directorate.
Additional DIG of Police Special Branch Faisal Mahmud has been attached to Central Police Hospital and AFM Anjuman Kalam has been attached to the DIG office of Sylhet Range.
Out of 14 police superintendent rank officers, 4 have been transferred to Sylhet Metropolitan Police. They are Police Superintendent of Highway Police Muhammad Rahmat Ullah, Police Superintendent of Police Special Branch MKH Jahangir Hossain, Police Superintendent of PBI Md. Akhter Hossain and APBN Police Superintendent Shahriar Al Mamun.
Meanwhile, Police Academy Sardar Police Superintendent Eliza Sharmin has been posted to APBN, Rajshahi Range DIG Office Police Superintendent Mohammad Shahjahan Mia has been posted as SP of Police Special Branch, AIG of Police Directorate Mahfuza Akhter has been posted as Police Telecom Superintendent, Police Directorate Police Superintendent Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman Al Mamun has been posted as PBI, Police Telecom Superintendent Mohammad Morshed Alam has been posted as Rangpur Metropolitan Police, Kishoreganj Police Superintendent SM Farhad Hossain has been posted as PBI Police Superintendent, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Mizanur Rahman has been posted as Kishoreganj Police Superintendent, Rangpur Police Superintendent Md. Marufat Hussain has been posted as Tourist Police Superintendent and APBN Police Superintendent Mohammad Mozammel has been posted as Rangpur Police Superintendent.
Meanwhile, three Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have been internally transferred. The transfer was made in a letter signed by DMP Commissioner (Acting) Md. Sarwar today.
Among them, POM South Division DC Mohammad Mahmudul Kabir has been made DC of Secretariat-Security Division, HRD Division DC Mohammad Masud Rana has been made DC of Traffic Gulshan Division and Traffic Admin Division DC Mosha. Liza Begum has been made DC of Women Support and Investigation Division.
