Two vessels carrying a total of 69,655 tons of fuel, combining diesel and jet fuel, have arrived at Chattogram Port on Friday.

Panama-flagged vessel, Prive Angel, reached the outer anchorage of the port from United Arab Emirates, carrying 35,055 tons of diesel in the morning.

Later in the afternoon, around 5:00 PM, Chinese-flagged ship, Jing Tong-799, arrived from South Korea with 34,600 tons of jet fuel.

According to port sources, both ships are currently awaiting the completion of mandatory procedures before they begin discharging their cargo.

Authorities noted that these shipments are part of the government’s regular fuel import process.

Officials expressed that the arrival of these vessels will have a significant positive impact on meeting the country's immediate energy demands.
