A Dhaka court has granted a three-day remand for former DGFI director Afzal Naser in a case over the attempted murder of a Jagannath University student during the anti-discrimination movement.
Metropolitan Magistrate Aminul Islam Junaid passed the order on Tuesday (May 5) after a hearing.
Naser was earlier produced before the court after completing a three-day remand in a separate murder case filed with Uttara East Police Station. The court initially ordered him to be sent to jail.
He was later shown arrested in the Kotwali Police Station case.
