Bangladesh, China reaffirm commitment to deeper bilateral ties

Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman met Chinese International Development Cooperation and Public Communication Commission (IDCPCC) Minister Liu Haixing in Beijing on Thursday, focusing on strengthening Bangladesh-China relations.

The meeting covered key areas including bilateral friendship, connectivity, trade and investment, multilateral cooperation and regional issues, according to an official briefing.

During the discussions, the Foreign Minister highlighted the vision of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman for a more connected and globally engaged Bangladesh, emphasizing enhanced economic diplomacy and infrastructure cooperation.

Both sides reiterated their commitment to the One China Principle and expressed willingness to further deepen strategic and development cooperation between the two countries.

Officials said the meeting reflected ongoing efforts to expand collaboration in areas of mutual interest and reinforce long-standing diplomatic ties.
