Met office forecasts rain in parts of country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms in parts of the country over the next 24 hours starting from 9:00 AM on Saturday.

According to a weather bulletin issued by the Met office, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds and lightning flashes may occur at one or two places in the divisions of Rangpur Division, Rajshahi Division, Dhaka Division, Khulna Division and Barishal Division.

The bulletin also said the weather is likely to remain mainly dry with a temporarily partly cloudy sky in other parts of the country.
Day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across Bangladesh.

The country’s highest temperature on Friday was recorded at 36.5 degrees Celsius in Feni, while the lowest temperature on Saturday was 19.6 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi.

In Dhaka, the sun is expected to set at 6:31 PM on Saturday and rise at 5:19 AM on Sunday.
