Ex-minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain passes away

Former Housing and Public Works Minister and former Chattogram-1 (Mirsharai) lawmaker Engineer Mosharraf Hossain passed away on Wednesday morning at the age of 83.

He breathed his last at around 10:15 AM at Square Hospital in the capital, where he had been undergoing treatment.

Family sources said he had been suffering from various age-related complications and had remained under medical care at the hospital for the past several days. His condition worsened before he passed away on Wednesday morning.

Engineer Mosharraf Hossain was a senior figure in Awami League politics and served as a presidium member of the now activities banned party.

The family is expected to announce details of his funeral prayers and burial later.
