The government has appointed 96 more previously deprived candidates from the 27th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination to different cadres, following years of legal battles and sustained protests.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued an official notification on Wednesday confirming the appointment. According to the ministry, the appointments were made based on recommendations from the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC).
Earlier, on December 18 last year, the government appointed 673 candidates from the same batch. With the latest inclusion, a total of 769 candidates have now been appointed under the court-directed recruitment process.
