The High Court on Thursday dismissed a writ petition that challenged legality of activities of Dr Muhammad Yunus led  interim government.

An HC bench of Justice Ahmed Sohel and Justice Fatema Anwar passed the order after hearing arguments on the petition.

Lawyers MK Rahman and Mohsin Rashid appeared for the petitioners, while Attorney General Md Ruhul Quddus Kazal represented the state.

MK Rahman said reporters that the petition sought an investigation into the 18 months of activities under Yunus-led interim government.
