7 more die of measles

Seven more children died from measles and measles-like symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours, while 208 new infections were confirmed, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

A DGHS bulletin issued on Thursday said three children died after testing positive for measles, while four others died with measles-related symptoms during the same period.

Since March 15, a total of 83 children have died from confirmed measles infections, while another 405 people have died with measles-like symptoms nationwide.

Among the deaths linked to measles symptoms, the highest number was recorded in Dhaka division with 160 deaths, followed by Rajshahi with 78 and Sylhet with 40, Chattogram with 39 deaths.
