21 die in Indian hotel fire

At least 21 people died in a fire incident at a hotel in South Delhi on Wednesday.

 The incident took place in the morning in Malviya Nagar area.  

The police said they received the news of the fire incident at Flourish Stay B&B at 8:48am and immediately launched rescue, evacuation and relief operations.

 The fire was extinguished with the assistance of eight fire engines.

 More than 40 persons were rescued and shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Rescue and search operations are still underway, reports NDTV.
