Four Bangladeshis were injured in a drone attack at Kuwait International Airport, according to a statement issued by the Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait on Wednesday.
The embassy said several other foreign nationals were also injured in the incident, while one person was killed.
The statement noted that multiple drone and missile incidents have recently been reported in Kuwaiti airspace amid the ongoing regional tensions in West Asia. As part of this escalation, the latest attack targeted the airport area, leaving the four Bangladeshis injured.
The injured Bangladeshis have been admitted to Farwaniya Hospital and the embassy said it is closely monitoring their condition in coordination with local authorities.
The mission has urged Bangladeshi expatriates in Kuwait to remain alert and follow safety instructions issued by the local government.
It also warned that photographing or recording drone or missile interception incidents is a punishable offence under Kuwaiti law, advising expatriates to refrain from capturing or sharing such visuals on social media.
In a separate advisory, the embassy noted a shortage of blood at the Central Blood Bank in Kuwait and called on eligible Bangladeshi expatriates to donate blood and encourage others to do the same.
