Iran said the US attacks on an Iranian oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz and a telecommunications tower on Qeshm Island were launched from Kuwait and Bahrain.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country claimed this in a statement on Wednesday and described these actions as “aggressive” and claimed that the strikes violated the April 8 ceasefire, as well as international law and the United Nations Charter.

The Foreign Ministry of the country also accused Kuwait and Bahrain of playing a role in US military operations against Iran by providing their territory and facilities, reports Iran Wire. The ministry held the United States, Israel, and their cooperating countries responsible for the consequences arising from these events.

The statement was published after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported missile and drone attacks against American targets in the region. At the same time, CENTCOM announced that it had intercepted several missiles and drones fired by the Islamic Republic and had targeted sites on Qeshm Island in response.

Meanwhile, Kuwaiti officials announced that the Islamic Republic’s missile and drone attacks on Kuwait International Airport damaged the Terminal 1 building, injured several people, and led to the suspension of flights.
