Bus overturns in Dhaka's Mohakhali, helper killed

A passenger bus lost control and overturned near Mohakhali kitchen market area of the capital on Saturday morning, killing its assistant.

Eyewitnesses said, at around 6AM, a bus belonging to Bhati Bangla, traveling from Netrokona, reached the Mohakhali Kitchen Market area and suddenly crashed into a road divider, overturned, and was severely damaged as its driver lost control.

Helper Rafiqul Islam died at the scene.

After receiving news, members of Fire Service quickly rushed to the scene and rescued the victims from beneath the bus. 

The two injured passengers were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
