Government has expressed dissatisfaction with the explanation provided by Ad-din Hospital regarding the deaths of six newborns, with Health Minister Sardar Sakhawat Hossain Bakul describing the hospital's response to a show-cause notice as unclear and inadequate.

Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Wednesday, the minister said the hospital authorities failed to provide a clear explanation in response to the notice issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) following the unusual deaths of six newborns at the capital's healthcare facility.

"The hospital authorities have provided vague and unclear information in their response," the minister said.

He added that the government would determine its next course of action after consulting all relevant stakeholders and reviewing the findings of the ongoing inquiry.

The Health Minister said the incident was being treated with due importance and that necessary decisions would be taken based on the outcome of the investigation and evaluation process.
