Bangladesh go down fighting 35-39 to India

Hosts Bangladesh produced a spirited performance but ultimately suffered a 35-39 goal defeat to India in the Under-18 category of the Men's age group International Handball Federation (IHF) Trophy at the Shaheed Captain M. Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium on Friday.

Despite the defeat, Bangladesh pushed their regional rivals throughout the contest and delivered one of their most competitive performances against India in recent international handball competitions.

The standout performer for Bangladesh was Jebe Dai Bom, a student of Quantum Cosmo School, who single-handedly carried much of the hosts' attacking burden. He scored an astonishing 18 goals out of Bangladesh's total of 35 and kept his side in contention for most of the match.

However, the player of the match award went to India's Lalit, who netted 14 goals in the victory.
Bangladesh remained within striking distance for large periods of the match and repeatedly challenged the Indian defense. Dai Bom's remarkable display gave the home supporters hope that Bangladesh could secure a historic result against their traditional rivals.    �"BSS
