BNP leader and former general secretary of the Gono Odhikar Parishad Rashed Khan has alleged that Jamaat-e-Islami would become “more fascist than the Awami League (AL)” if it comes to power and warned that “no one will be spared”.

He made the remarks in a Facebook post on Saturday night, where he also accused Jamaat-Shibir activists of orchestrating cyber attacks against him and attempting to silence his political views.

Rashed claimed his Facebook account was suspended for eight days following what he described as multiple “fake copyright claims” lodged against his content. “Because of my writing, Jamaat-Shibir is suffering a lot. They invested a huge amount of money and made more than 16 fake copyright claims from Turkey, which resulted in my ID being suspended for eight days," he wrote.

According to him, the account was restored after eight days, although the copyright disputes remain unresolved.

"I shared some photo cards from different media outlets. No media organisation raised any copyright claim. Rather, a lobbyist team appointed by Jamaat-Shibir in Turkey claimed the copyright," he alleged.

He further claimed cyber attacks on his social media account and abusive remarks directed at his parents were part of a broader campaign against him.

"Their cyber attacks on my ID and abuse of my parents are proof of that. They want to kill me politically. My biggest crime is exposing their fake and false narrative before the people," he said.

No immediate response from Jamaat-e-Islami was available regarding the allegations.
