Women Empowerment Bangladeshi Canadian Organization (WEBCO) officially launched on Saturday (June 20).
The event brought together professional women, newcomers, entrepreneurs, and business owners from the Bangladeshi-Canadian community. The programme began with a welcome speech by Founder and President Taniza Reza, followed by inspiring introductions from women entrepreneurs who shared their businesses and personal journeys with the audience, says a press release.
Journalist and Toronto City Council candidate Natalia Jonson joined the WEBCO launch ceremony.
The evening was enriched by melodious performances by Tajnin Sohana and a beautiful poetry recitation by Asma Shumi. The games segment was enthusiastically managed by Sheikh Tanvina with the support of Sayeeda Fahmee Chowdhury.
Gift distribution was smoothly coordinated by Dil Afroza and Areeba Ali.
The excitement continued with raffle draws and prize distribution for game winners, creating joyful moments for everyone present.
The support and dedication of members, volunteers, performers, sponsors, and guests made the launch event a tremendous success. They have taken the first step toward building a stronger, more connected, and empowered community of women in Canada.
