Rally held against women-children repression

PABNA, June 23: The district administration and the Department of Women’s Affairs organised a colourful rally and a discussion meeting in the district on Tuesday morning to promote various awareness programmes to prevent violence against women and children and prevent child marriage. 

The rally circled the main roads of the town from the front of the Deputy Commissioner (DC)’s office and ended at the same place. 

Later, a discussion meeting held at the DC office was chaired by DC Aminul Islam and addressed by Deputy Director of the Department of Women’s Affairs Jilal Uddin, Additional DC Moniruzzaman, Zilla Parishad Executive Officer Mahfuza Sultana, and Additional DC (Revenue) Monira Yasmin.
