Rain likely across Bangladesh

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, forecasted rainfall in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9:00am. 

“Light to moderate rain or thunder-showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Khulna and Dhaka divisions,” said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

Besides, it said, moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur at places over the country.

Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, the bulletin said.
The highest temperature on Tuesday was 36.6 degrees Celsius in Jashore, while today’s minimum temperature is 22 degrees Celsius in Sylhet. 
The sun sets at 6.50 pm today and rises at 5.12 am Thursday, June 25, 2025, in Dhaka.
