The police on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, recovered weapons, ammunition, and foreign liquor during a raid at the chamber of a pro-Awami League lawyer in Jamalpur town.
The raid was carried at the office of Advocate Mohammad Kamrul Islam Moni, located in the Pach Rastar Mor area of the town.
According to preliminary information, he is the General Secretary of Dangdhara Union Awami League in Dewanganj Upazila.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Rakibul Islam said the raid was conducted at an office room on the second floor of Monowara Ali Super Market based on a tip-off.
During the operation, police recovered two pipe guns, six cocktail-like objects, four pistol rounds, four shotgun bullets, two bottles of petrol, and six bottles of foreign liquor.
No one was detained in connection with the incident. He said the matter is under investigation, and further details will be officially disclosed after the investigation is completed.
