Ex-president Ershad's 7th death anniv today

The seventh death anniversary of former president and Jatiya Party founder Hussain Muhammad Ershad is being observed on Tuesday (July 14) amid various programs.

To commemorate the occasion, the Jatiya Party has organised a series of programmes at Ershad's gravesite in Palli Nibash, Rangpur, beginning at 11AM. The events include Quran recitation, grave visitation, special prayers (Doa Mahfil), and a memorial discussion.

Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader is expected to attend the programme as chief guest.

The party has also arranged daylong Quran recitations broadcasts of Ershad's speeches, prayer gatherings at key locations across every union and upazila of the district. 

In addition, the Jatiya Party's affiliated and associate organisations are scheduled to observe the anniversary through separate commemorative programmes.
